my story
From Lisbon to Founding Reignwel Global: My Journey as a Digital Nomad
In October of 2021, I was living my dream as a digital nomad in Lisbon, Portugal. As the pandemic raged on, I felt fortunate to thrive during the shutdown. I was grateful for the opportunity to make an international move, but soon after, I faced significant personal and financial struggles, leading to the worst depression I have ever experienced in my life. Then, in January 2023, I was devastated by the loss of my talented nephew to suicide. Sadly, I have witnessed many friends and members of our creative community of color succumb to the same fate. This hit too close to home, and I realized that there is a severe lack of accessible and affordable mental health resources for our community. We are suffering in silence, and I knew I wanted to be part of the solution. Nine months later, Reignwel Global was born. I hope that other creative individuals like myself will see Reignwel as proof that they are not alone and that there are many ways to get help. Regardless of where you are in the world, this platform is meant to direct you to the help you need so you can reign well. 👑
